Chinese Checkers Rules
The Chinese Checkers Rules are a little different then plain checkers in a few ways. The funny thing about this game is that it was not made in china. It was originally created in Germany in 1893 as a variant of an older American game Halma.
Set Up
The board is a star with 6 points on it. Each point is a different color and consists of 10 holes. All players get 10 pegs and put them on their corresponding triangle. You can play the game with anywhere from 2-6 people.
Play
Your goal is to get all of your pieces to your opponent’s triangle and occupy it.
On your turn you can move 1 peg into 1 adjacent hole, or you can make one or more hops over the other pegs. You can hop over any pegs on the board,(both yours and your opponents) as long as you have a space to land on.
Pegs are never removed from the board because your goal is not to eliminate your opponent’s pieces but occupy his triangle.
Once a peg reaches your opponent’s triangle it cannot move outside of it.
Winning
The first player to put all 10 of his pegs into all 10 of his opponent’s triangle spots wins the game.
